CLC adds George Williams College of Aurora University to its growing list of guaranteed transfer partners

The College of Lake County and George Williams College of Aurora University have made it easier than ever for students to attend both institutions and graduate on time, while saving money.

Thanks to a new Guaranteed Transfer Admission agreement signed between the two schools, CLC students who transfer to George Williams College (GWC) to complete a bachelor's degree will be guaranteed acceptance while completing the requirements in their particular degree.

GWC is a strong addition to CLC's Guaranteed Transfer Admission program due to its reputation for academic excellence and its close proximity to Lake County, said Karen Hlavin, CLC's vice president for student development. "We now can offer qualified students an opportunity to plan their transfer to GWC several semesters in advance and take advantage of advising from both institutions," Hlavin said.

Patrick Peyer, Ed.D., vice president for enrollment at GWC and Woodstock Center, said, "We are very excited to partner with CLC to provide an additional guided pathway to bachelor's degree completion. The Guaranteed Transfer Admission agreement and our college's one-on-one support and will ensure a seamless transfer process. Plus, our unique location, nestled on 137 acres of wooded Geneva Lake shoreline within an hour's drive of Lake County residents, offers students an environment that's scenic, relaxing and intellectually stimulating."
