Gaffney town hall tour:

State Repr. Kent Gaffney, a Lake Barrington Republican, has announced a Town Hall Tour in communities across the 52nd Legislative District. Sessions will be: Wednesday, Oct. 12, 7 to 9 p.m., at Barrington Area wLibrary, 505 N. Northwest Hwy, Barrington; Thursday, Oct. 13, following the village board meeting, which begins at 7:30 p.m., at Island Lake Village Hall, 3720 Greenleaf Ave., Island Lake; Thursday Oct. 20, 7 to 9 p.m. at Crystal Lake City Hall, 100 W. Woodstock St., Crystal Lake. Gaffney will give a presentation on how Illinois built a $13 billion budget deficit and steps needed to bring the state to fiscal solvency. After the conclusion of the presentation, Gaffney will open the forum to the people in attendance to hear their issues before he returns to Springfield for the Fall Veto Session.
