West Chicago beats Lake Park

West Chicago 3, Lake Park 1: Mary Connolly (2-1) struck out 9 batters and smacked a 2-run single in the first for the No. 7 Wildcats (3-1) at the Illinois Bash Spring Jamboree. Chelsea Henshaw tripled in the lone run for No. 6 Lake Park (1-1) in the fifth. Earlier in the day Connolly went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI as West Chicago beat Marengo 7-5.

Naperville North 8, Plainfield North 0: Lauren Clouston (1-2) tossed a five-hitter to lead the Huskies (1-4). Sammy Marshall and Tara Degl'Innocenti each scored 2 runs.

Willowbrook 6-12, Montini 5-15: Dana Campagna slugged a solo homer and tripled to pace the host Warriors in the opener. In the second game Tori Shipbaugh went 5-for-5 with 3 doubles for Montini (1-2). Michelle Interrante homered for Willowbrook (3-3).
