Voting Open for Outdoor Movie Night at Elk Grove Baptist

If you could vote to watch your favorite, classic, black-and-white movie outdoors with a bunch of friends, what would you pick?

You'll get your chance in the second annual Classic Movie Night Under the Stars at Elk Grove Baptist Church, Friday, July 15, at 8:30 p.m.

Sixteen time-honored films are being considered for viewing that evening, with the winner decided by popular vote. The films range from comedies such as "A Night At the Opera," "Harvey," and "It Happened One Night," to dramas as "Casablanca," "Citizen Kane," and "High Noon." The entire list and links to their original trailers can be viewed at http://myegbcmovienight.weebly.com/index.html

On that website is also a ballot for immediate voting. The two films with the most votes will face a runoff election on the Outdoor Movie Night, with the winner decided by a vote of those in attendance. The winning film will be shown in the EGBC parking lot, 801 Beisner Road, 1/2/ block north of the Alexian Brothers Hospital emergency room.

There is no charge for the movie or for voting. Free popcorn, lemonade, iced coffee & biscotti will be available for movie-time munching.

Says Pam Nelsen, event coordinator, "This is Chicagoland, so vote early and vote often!"
