Kneseth Israel to hold picnic July 24

Congregation Kneseth Israel in Elgin has scheduled a July 24 congregational picnic to provide summer fun for the membership's families while inviting prospective families who would like to experience the “community feel” and inquire about membership and school enrollment.

Join them from 1 to 5 p.m. at Burnidge Forest Preserve, 14N101 Coombs Road in Elgin. Refreshments will be served mid-afternoon. Games are planned for children and adults. Families are invited to bring a picnic, if desired; bug spray is essential!

Members are encouraged to bring prospective families with reservations. Membership materials and school enrollment applications will be available, with representatives present.

Congregation Kneseth Israel, 330 Division St. in Elgin, will begin enrollment for the 2011-12 Hebrew and Torah School classes, opening Sept. 7, at 5 p.m., during the congregational picnic on Sunday, July 24.
