Naperville North's Dieckmann stops Downers South

Naperville North 3, Downers Grove South 1: Emily Dieckmann (1-2) fired a 4-hitter, handing the No. 6 Mustangs their first loss. Sammy Marshall and Jess Stapleton each went 2-for-3 and scored runs for Naperville North (3-5).

Marissa Mersch doubled leading off the game and scored the only run for Downers Grove South (5-1).

Glenbard South 3, Geneva 2: Brianna Meath went 2-for-4 and smacked the go-ahead 2-run single in the top of the fourth for the No. 4 Raiders in Geneva. Jackie Wrona also had 2 hits, and walked to start the fourth-inning rally for Glenbard South (9-0, 3-0 Western Sun Conference). Jess Wilkes (6-0) struck out six.

Neuqua Valley 11, South Elgin 0: Winning pitcher Jena Boudreau (4-1) struck out three, and also went 2-for-4 with a double and 4 RBI for the host Wildcats (5-4, 3-2 Upstate Eight Conference).

Sarah Gronowski doubled, drove in 3 runs and scored 2 runs. Colleen Hohman went 2-for-3 with an RBI and 2 runs scored.

Lake Park 12, Glenbard West 4: Samantha Becker went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored and Carly Willert went 3-for-5 with a triple and scored 3 runs for the No. 7 Lancers (7-2) in Glen Ellyn. Vanessa Wegner added 2 hits and 2 RBI. Bri Wyatt tripled for Glenbard West (4-6).

Downers Grove North 4, Benet 0: Kendall Ryndak (3-2) struck out two in a 4-hitter for the Trojans (6-3), who won their fifth straight game.

Lisle 2, Sandwich 1: Mackenzie Buchelt doubled and scored the go-ahead run on an error in the top of the sixth for the Lions (5-3, 2-1 Interstate Eight Conference). Bekka Houda (3-2) struck out 11.

WW South 12, Hinsdale South 4: Kristen Santora homered, doubled and drove in 6 runs to lead a 13-hit Tigers attack in Wheaton. Katie Ottolin went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Bekah Munday 3-for-4 with 2 RBI for WW South (7-6).
