Conlon & Thompson Orthodontics collects 3,800 pounds of candy

Conlon & Thompson Orthodontics in McHenry recently collected 3,800 pounds of candy for troops and veterans.

The program, which began four years ago to promote a safe and healthy Halloween, donates treats to troops and raises money for school PTO's.

In addition, the buy back promotes healthier diets, reduces dental decay and encourages better concentration in schools.

The candy that was collected will be sent to our troops abroad and shared with veteran's groups. Students also wrote letters and drew pictures that were sent along with the candy.

Conlon & Thompson Orthodontics donated $1 for every pound of candy collected to the school's PTO's.
