Trojan Women: 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, Westin O'Hare Hotel Grand Ballroom, 6100 N. River Road, Rosemont. The Hellenic American Academy is selling a number of tickets for the upcoming performance of Euripides' "Trojan Women" by a theatrical group from Greece. A portion of the proceeds from these tickets will be donated to the academy. Snowmobile Safety: Register by Saturday, Oct. 10, for program 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, Grayslake Park District Rec Center, 240 Commerce Drive, Grayslake. Free instructional program taught by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to promote safe snowmobiling. Parents and adults are welcome to attend. Participants must be 12 years or older to receive an IDNR certificate but ages 10-11 can take the class and receive their certificate when they turn 12. Bring a sack lunch, drink and a snack. DAR essay contest: The Twenty-first Star Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution announce its annual American History Essay Contest.
