Ninth Annual Chicago Botanic Garden Art Festival July 5, 6, and 7

The beautiful Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe, Illinois, is once again set to host the Chicago Botanic Garden Art Festival this 4th of July weekend. Returning for its ninth year, the art festival features the exceptional work of 95 juried artists, and in keeping with the exquisite scenery, all art will embody a botanical theme, use, or material. This one-of-a-kind event kicks off Friday, July 5, from 4 to 7 p.m., with a preview night that is open to the public for the first time. The festival continues Saturday, July 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, July 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to this world-class event is free all three days (regular parking fees apply)!

"The stunning backdrop of the Chicago Botanic Garden is unmatched and sets the tone for this unique art festival," says Amy Amdur, president of Amdur Productions, producer of the Chicago Botanic Garden Art Festival. "Finding a piece of art for your home/office at this show is a wonderful way to keep nature with you year-round." she added.

Original art in a variety of mediums including painting, photography, fashion/wearables, furniture, sculpture, jewelry, glass, wood, and mixed media will be available for purchase in a range of prices, so there truly is something for everyone! Artists will be available throughout the weekend for booth chats and demonstrations.

The Chicago Botanic Garden features 27 gardens and four natural areas uniquely situated on 385 acres on and around nine islands, with six miles of lake shoreline. After a day spent exploring and viewing the variety of artwork on display, you are sure to work up an appetite. The Garden View Café will be serving a fresh menu featuring local, sustainably produced, and seasonal ingredients. The Garden View Café is located in the Chicago Botanic Garden's Visitor Center. You can also find food and beverages at the Garden Grille and the Rose Terrace Beer Garden.
