Looking for the ultimate learning experience for your children this summer? Send them to college!

Explore Camps at the College of Lake County combine fun and academic enrichment.

Programs are offered for children in grades 1-12 from June 11 through July 26, Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 1-4 p.m. Convenient half-day camps can be combined for a full-day option. Although most camps take place at the Grayslake Campus, some sessions are offered at the Southlake Campus in Vernon Hills.

Summer 2018 camp topics include filmmaking and sound design, 3D engineering, lasers, math, photography, art, astronomy and a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) maker camp. Lake County law enforcement and fire science professionals are partnering with CLC to offer two new career exploration camps. Innovative, hands-on activities designed give students an opportunity to experience firefighting or the law enforcement areas of police, corrections, the courts and probation.

Cost of each camp ranges from $175 to $195, and a limited number of partial scholarships are available. Visit www.clcillinois.edu/summercamps for camp topics, schedules as well as registration and scholarship forms. To register, contact Explore Camps at (847) 543-2615 or CPEInfo@clcillinois.edu. Several camps have already sold out.

For adults interested in college-level courses, space is available for CLC's Summer Session, which begins June 4, and Fall Semester starting Aug. 20. For details, visit www.clcillinois.edu/register-for-summer-and-fall.
