April 21: 'Almost 5K Fun Run/Walk for the Earth' to benefit local scholarship fund

Exercise with others and help the planet at the College of Lake County's Almost 5K Fun Run/Walk for the Earth, which takes place Friday, April 21 from 1-2 p.m. at the Grayslake Campus, 19351 W. Washington St. in Grayslake.

The run/walk starts in front of the Physical Education Center and is open to all students, alumni, faculty, staff and community members. Cost is $15 or $5 for students with a student ID. Register in advance at www.clcillinois.edu/quikpay or at the event.

Check-in and onsite registration ends at 12:45 p.m. Proceeds from the event will go to the Citizens' Climate Lobby Lake County Chapter Scholarship Fund. The run/walk, part of CLC's Earth Week activities, is sponsored by the college's Social Action Club and Alumni Association. For more information, email alumni@clcillinois.edu.
