COD Human Services Sponsors 'Drop Your Drawers' Fundraiser

The College of DuPage Human Services department has organized an underwear donation drive to benefit people in need in DuPage County.

Students in the eight-week Introduction to Human Services class this summer wanted to help those in need and organized the “Drop Your Drawers” drive after discovering that the People's Resource Center in Wheaton is always in need of undergarments.

People's Resource Center has provided assistance to low-income citizens of DuPage County residents since 1975. In addition to clothing, the center also helps families by offering housing and social services, job search assistance, computer skills assistance and food services. The center has also partnered with COD to offer English as a Second Language (ESL) classes.

Those interested in helping should bring new underwear and socks for children and adults and bras of all sizes to a collection box located in the Human Services Office in the Berg Instructional Center, Room 2603, through July 31.
