Waste Management's Bagster helps dad clean up on Father's Day

This Father's Day, if you're scrambling to find a more practical gift for Dad, try giving him a home improvement tool that will make his do-it-yourself projects easier to clean up.

Waste Management's Bagster® Dumpster in a Bag® will help ol' Dad with the cleanup and removal of the debris and materials from his at-home projects. Whether just cleaning out the basement, building furniture or renovating a room, Bagster® is an easy-to-use disposal container that's a great alternative to large industrial waste boxes that will make Dad's cleanup work go away easier.

The Bagster® is a tough disposal container made of a heavy-duty woven material that won't tear if punctured. It's the perfect size and strength for debris and household junk, and can hold up to 3,300 pounds or three cubic yards of material. It is 8 feet long, 4 feet wide, and two and a half feet in height, large enough to hold sheets of plywood.

“Our customers have found it ideal for home improvement projects and easy to use,” said Dan Henry, who manages the Bagster® service for Waste Management in the Chicago area. “It's a good alternative to large industrial disposal containers that may be larger than needed and also less costly. Bagster® is available at most home improvement and hardware stores and can be filled at the homeowner's own pace when projects get extended.”

Dad can keep the bag as long as he needs to complete his projects and then have it quickly removed by contacting Waste Management's Bagster® service for quick collection.

Waste Management offers the service in Cook, DuPage, Lake, and Kane counties in the Chicago area.

Unlike those familiar large industrial waste boxes, the Bagster® is economical. It has a retail price of $29.95 in the Chicago area and a collection fee of $129. Additional Bagster® containers will be collected for $104 each if picked up at the same time.

The Bagster® can be purchased at local home improvement stores and a call to Waste Management ensures it is collected quickly. In the Chicago area, The Bagster® is available at The Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, and select Ace and True Value hardware stores. It also is available through Amazon.com.

The Bagster®'s common uses include disposal of household junk and cleanup debris from home improvement projects. In Illinois, it cannot be used for the disposal of yard wastes, electronics, appliances, tires, food wastes, large tree stumps or toxic or hazardous wastes, which are not allowed in landfills.
