Waterleaf Restaurant Hosts Ferrari-Carano Wine Dinner March 1
Waterleaf restaurant in Glen Ellyn will host a Ferrari-Carano wine dinner on Thursday, March 1, at 7 p.m. The dinner includes an exclusive four-course prix fixe dinner at Waterleaf fine-dining restaurant, complete with Ferrari-Carano wine pairings.
Menu items and wine pairings are: Roasted Cauliflower Soup with Rye Crostini, Chive and Truffle Oil (Ferrari-Carano Fume' Blanc, Sonoma, Calif.); Grapefruit Tasmanian Salmon Gravlax with Flageolet, Lima Beans and Grafruit Salad, Dill and Peppercorn Crème Fraiche, Spicy Dill Cracker (2009 Ferrari-Carano Reserv Chardonnay, Russian River, Calif.); Agave Glazed Pork Belly with Pineapple Salsa, Sweet Corn Pancakes, Broccolini (2007 Ferrari-Carano Presor, Sonoma County, Calif.); Espresso Chocolate Cake with Rum Dulce de Leche, Hazelnut Brittle, Hazelnut Ice Cream (2008 Ferrari-Carano Zinfandel, Russian River, Calif.).
