Little Angels find fun way to cool off in August heat

Local Barrington Hills resident Charles Helfrick paid a visit to Little Angels on Wednesday in his restored fire truck with lights and sirens blazing. Little Angels residents and staff enjoyed the exuberant entrance and the refreshing shower from the fire hose.

Charles Helfrick is a recent supporter of Little Angels in Elgin. In addition to his exciting visit on Wednesday, he has donated a one-week stay in his Hawaiian condo for the upcoming "Angel Songs Gala" in September.

The grand prize for this event includes a Hawaiian vacation to the island of Kauai and a $1,000 gift card. The "Angel Songs Gala," with the theme, “A Magical Night”, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Sanfilippo Estate in Barrington Hills.

“Little Angels has been blessed by individuals like Charles; their contributions are an important part in keeping our organization healthy through these tough economic times,” stated Mary Jean Adkins, director of development for the Little Angels Center for Exceptional Care.
