Naperville North bests Willowbrook
Naperville North started its baseball season on the right track, beating Willowbrook 8-3 on Monday.
Charlie White and Idris Hanidu each went 2 for 3 and scored 2 runs to pace the Huskies' offense. Kyle Klosak (1-0) earned the victory with Harrison Katz throwing 12/3 shutout innings of relief for the save.
St. Francis 6, St. Joseph 0: Ryan Acciavatti and John Wons each had 2 hits including a double in the Spartans' season-opening win over the nonconference visitor. Jack Roback struck out nine, walked none and allowed 3 hits in 6 innings to earn the win.
