Sept. 16
Golf for 4-H: Check-in at 11:30 a.m., tee time 1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 16, Antioch Golf Club, 40150 N Route 59, Antioch. 4-H Golf Classic and Dinner, to benefit University of Illinois Extension, Lake County 4-H community clubs and after-school programs. Dinner event includes raffles and 4-H participation; cocktails at 5:30, dinner at 6:30 p.m. Four-person scramble golf tournament is $85 per person, which includes dinner; dinner only is $40. Jewelry sale: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 16 and 17, Advocate Condell Medical Center, 755 S. Milwaukee Ave, Libertyville. Semiprecious stone, shell and pearl necklaces, earrings and bracelets as well as scarves and ladies' purses will be for sale in the main lobby of the hospital. Scoop Night: 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, Maggie Moo's, 3022 W. Route 60, Mundelein. Mundelein Cooperative Preschool's third annual Scoop Night; join residents, students, and teachers for a treat scooped by MCP's teachers. All proceeds earned the sales on Sept. 16 will benefit the preschool.

Shop Share: Congregation Beth Judea in Long Grove will hold a Shop Share Days fundraising drive at all Jewel-Osco stores Monday Sept. 21-Wednesday, Sept. 23. When you present a Shop Share identification slip at the time of purchase, Jewel-Osco will donate 5 percent of all purchases (including groceries, pharmacy, photo and liquor purchases), less tax, to the Congregation Beth Judea General Fund.

Francesca's Intimo has agreed to donate 15 percent of patrons' bills to the nonprofit organization It Can Be Done! on Mondays and Tuesdays if the customer mentions the organization to a restaurant employee. The proceeds will benefit the purchasing of a drill to construct wells throughout the 12 villages of Uru on Mount Kilimanjaro, providing the 30,000 people living there with freshwater.
