See the final film in the Great Lakes Credit Union's Harry Potter film festival on the outdoor stage (in case of inclement weather, the movie will move inside the center for the first 500 guests) with a coloring contest for younger students, an art contest for high school students, a look-alike contest, a Harry Potter trivia contest and more. Nature Photo Contest: Entry deadline Sunday, July 12, Moraine Hills State Park, 1510 S. River Road, McHenry. Moraine Hills State Park is seeking entries for its 12th Annual Nature Photo Contest. The contest is open to all amateur nature photographers; entries will be accepted in six categories: Color Plant; Color Animal - Invertebrate; Color Animal - Vertebrate; Color Landscape; Black and White; and People (and Pets) In the Park Prizes will be chosen by the popular vote of Moraine Hills visitors from July 16 to Oct. 1 and also by a panel of judges. Postcard Art Competition: Deadline Monday, July 13, Lake County Discovery Museum, 27277 N. Forest Preserve Road, Wauconda. Artists over age 18 can create original works of art in 4-by-6-inch postcard size for the Curt Teich Postcard Archives' eighth biannual Postcard Art Competition and Exhibition. Art in any two-dimensional medium reproducible by photographic process is acceptable, as is three-dimensional work with a depth no greater than three-eighths of an inch. Winning artworks will be included in an exhibit that opens in October. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 12 entries.
