Kids Fishing Day: 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, June 6, Big Bear Lake in Century Park, 1001 Lakeview Parkway, Vernon Hills. Kids ages 5-13 will receive instruction from members of the Libertyville Fishing Club and then fish Big Bear Lake. A limited supply of poles will be available for use. Bait will be provided. Families are welcome, however only children ages 5-13 can participate in the fishing derby. Registration is required. There is a fee of $5 for residents Vernon Hills, $6 for nonresidents.
