Grant 7, Crystal Lake Central 0: Rachel DePouw went the distance and rolled up 14 strikeouts to lead Grant to the nonconference victory. DePouw also gave up only 1 walk.
Mundelein 6, Grayslake Central 2: A four-run fourth inning helped Mundelein pull away for the win. Kaitlin Yoder had a home run for the Mustangs and Hillary Bunnelle added a double. Pitcher Deanna Wise got the victory. She struck out four and allowed just 1 walk.
For Grayslake Central, Abbie Goetsch homered and Claire Brennan had 2 doubles.
Jacobs 2, Grayslake North 0: Despite 6 strikeouts from Carly Borders and a 2-for-3 performance from Ashley Abel, the Knights picked up the Fox Valley Conference loss.
Lake Forest 3, Libertyville 0: The Wildcats dropped to 5-6 on the season, despite a double from MacKenzie Haws and 2 hits from Toni Kintzel.
