Jan. 12 deadline to join Fox River Arts Ramble

Friday, Jan. 12, is the deadline to apply for the inaugural Fox River Arts Ramble, slated for Saturday, April 21.

This one-day self-guided art tour is part of an ongoing collaboration for the arts in the Fox Valley.

It is being organized by the Fine Line Creative Arts Center in St. Charles, Water Street Studios in Batavia, and the St. Charles Arts Council.

All artists, galleries, and arts organizations which are located from Aurora to Elgin are eligible to participate.

The steering committee will develop and organize promotional materials for all participating groups to distribute. They will also reach out to local chambers of commerce and visitors bureaus.

Participants must pay a $25 fee to cover expenses.

The steering committee is planning to produce a printed brochure and an online map with information.

Each participant must provide a high-res image for promotion.

They also will rely on participants to market the event via their own social media outlets, mailing lists and advertisements using the Fox River Arts Ramble logo and materials.

There will be host sites with additional maps, bathrooms, and refreshments.

Participants determine their own method of display or activity for visitors.

The Fox River Valley from Aurora to Elgin is rich with the arts, and this is an opportunity to showcase that.
