Join Fox Valley Wildlife Center's photo contest

The Fox Valley Wildlife Center in Elburn is accepting photographs from the public in a photo contest.

Every year the entries showcase the beauty of Illinois wildlife and the creativity and originality of amateur photographers. This year's entries will be featured in the center's 2019 calendar. To learn more, visit www.fvwc.org or contact (630) 365-3800 or contact@fvwc.org.

The entry fee is $10 per photo. Make checks payable to Fox Valley Wildlife Center. Up to three photos may be entered.

The deadline for entry is Friday, March 2, 2018.

Prizes will be given for first to fifth place.

This contest is open to amateur photographers only (anyone who does not make more than 25 percent of their yearly income from taking and/or selling photos).

Each entry must be accompanied by an entry form. Winners will be announced at the annual Winter Dinner/Auction at Fox Valley Concert Club in North Aurora. All contest entries will be displayed at the event and winning entries will be posted on the website on April 8.

The subject must be Illinois wildlife (including mammals, birds, insects, amphibians, reptiles, fish, etc.). No human contact, please. Domestic animals (cats, dogs, farm animals) and zoo animals are not eligible.

Entries may be color or black and white, unmounted and unframed.
