Discover your spiritual potential at May 30 program in Elgin

Hear Stormy Becker Falso tell her story about how discovering God changed everything for her, and can change everything for you, too. Falso, a teacher and practitioner of Christian Science healing, will present a talk titled, "Discover God, Discover Health," at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 30, in the west conference room at The Centre of Elgin, 100 Symphony Way in downtown Elgin. Admission is free.

Falso was 21 years old when she went to sleep one night and woke up three days later unable to move. Three different doctors could not diagnose what was wrong. They told her parents that she was failing fast, she would likely pass away, and there was nothing they could do.

"Asking ourselves some simple questions helps us enhance our relationship with God, a relationship of love, joy, satisfaction and fulfillment,"

Falso says. "It is a wonderful adventure to explore God as Father-Mother Love and see the application in daily life."

Falso credits her healing to the ideas she found in the original source book on Christian healing, the Bible, along with "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer and founder of Christian Science.

After studying at the State University of New York, Falso began a career as a journalist, working as a radio news reporter and announcer, radio news director, finally as a television reporter before leaving to care for her family. During this time, she participated in many volunteer projects, worked as a teaching assistant in elementary school, and attended cooking school. Falso found all of these experiences were preparations that led her into the full-time public practice of Christian Science healing in 2006. Now, as member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship she travels internationally speaking to a variety of audiences about the power of prayer to help find solutions to everyday challenges. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia.

It is sponsored by First Church of Christ, Scientist, Elgin. For details, call (847) 742-9074 or visit christianscienceelgin.com.
