Palatine area chamber announces Key to Success Award winners

The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce held its Key to Success Awards and Installation Dinner on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at Cotillion Banquets in Palatine.

Winners for Business of the Year, Distinguished New Business, Palatine Pride and others were announced:

• Business of the Year: Vicarious Productions

• Distinguished New Business: SportClips Haircuts

• Palatine Pride: Bob Kramer, Kramer Photographers

• Community Organization of the Year: Palatine-Inverness Crime Stoppers

• Business Leader of the Year: Robert Bauer, Waddell and Reed

• Heart of the Community: Larry Schmitt, BIK and Co., LLP

• Hero of the Year: Officer Kellie Poliquin, Palatine Police Department

• Rising Star: Zoe Ivanov

The new board of directors executive team also were announced at the event: Jim McLin, president; Jan Wood, vice president; Robert Bauer, vice president of membership; Tom Anderson, vice president of development; Shawn Jackson, vice president of events; Eric Marzinke, treasurer; and Joseph Quinn, immediate past chairman.
