Dundee Twp. Lions to host beanbag charity tournament

The Dundee Township Lions Club invites the community to join in the annual charity beanbag tournament at Diamond Jim's in East Dundee. The tournament will be Saturday, Aug. 23, with registration starting at noon and games starting at 1 p.m.

Registration is $30 per team.

According to Nick Theis, event chairman, it will be a great setting outdoors for a fun activity. In the event of rain, it will be moved inside.

Advance registration is available by signing up at Diamond Jim's, 325 Meier St., or going on the Lions website, dundeelions.org. For more information, call Lions President Jim McClung at (847) 567-7127.

Top prizes for the tournament are $250 for the winning team and $150 for second place. There will be numerous raffle prizes donated by local merchants. Come cheer on your favorite team and get in on the raffles.

All profits from the tournament will go to community charities.
