  Bill Miller, of Union, works on detaching the 500 pound head of a 25-foot-tall wood sculpture of Revolutionary War soldier that's been on display since 1976 on the front lawn of Custom Furniture in St. Charles Wednesday. The soldier is being dismantled piece by piece and will be taken to a carpentry studio in Elgin, where it will be restored.
