Ela Soccer awards 2013 college scholarship

Ela Soccer Club is proud to announce that Steven Walcott of Lake Zurich has been awarded its annual $1,000 college scholarship.

Walcott started playing soccer in the Ela Soccer Recreational Program, then transitioned into the Competitive Program and will now continue his love for soccer this fall at North Central College in Naperville.

"I believe the lessons I have learned as a member of an Ela Soccer team will help me successfully transition to college soccer," said Walcott. "My strong work ethic and dedication to becoming the best player that I can be will continue to drive me. I am looking forward to the next chapter of my soccer experience which was made possible in part to my many years of playing Ela Soccer, Walcott continued."

"We are very pleased to support our senior athletes as they continue their journey in college," said Gin Sharma, Ela Soccer Director of Coaching. "Steven is the perfect role model to all Ela Soccer players, that with dedication and hardwork, they too can achieve the dream of playing soccer in college," Sharma continued.

Ela Soccer Club is a 501(c)3 not for profit youth soccer organization providing recreational and competitive soccer programs to the area's youth for over 20 years.
