Trzaska, Glenbard South defeat Trinity

Jane Trzaska took a shutout into the seventh inning, striking out seven, and went 2-for-3 with a double and 2 runs scored as No. 8 Glenbard South beat Trinity 4-2 on Friday at Triton College.

Ashton Cattenhead went 2-for-3 with a run scored and RBI, and Aimee Gerherdt 2-for-3 with 2 RBI for Glenbard South (16-3), which jumped out to a 3-0 lead after an inning.

Willowbrook 11, Hinsdale South 1:

Sam Schmidt, Darian Pelsor, Alyssa Ressinger and Jordan Marczewski all homered for the Warriors (11-7, 5-2 West Suburban Gold).

IC Catholic Prep 3, St. Viator 2:

Anjella Farmer's RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the seventh brought home Catherine Klostermann, who slid to beat the tag with the game-winner in Rosemont for IC (10-8). Jessica Conenna homered for the Knights.

Downers Grove North 13, Hinsdale Central 3:

Hannah Mrazek hit 2 homers, Kelsey Gockman went deep with her sixth homer of the year, and the No. 10 Trojans (15-6, 7-0 West Suburban Silver) scored 9 runs in the third inning to erase a 2-0 deficit. Carolyn Nojiri went 3-for-3 for Downers Grove North. Lauren Daleen and Faith Koffron both homered for Hinsdale Central (6-11, 1-5).

Chicago Christian 7, Montini 6:

Teresa Kraiss' two-out single in the bottom of the ninth brought home Abbie Bulthuis with the game-winner, as Chicago Christian rallied to snap Montini's 13-game winning streak. Chicago Christian tied it with 2 in the seventh inning, Megan Glynn singling in the tying run. Alyssa Sclafani went 3-for-5 with a double, triple and 2 RBI and Cristina Barrett 2-for-4 with a double, run scored and 2 RBI for Montini (19-4, 12-1 Suburban Christian Conference Blue).

York 6, Lyons 0:

Isabella Jaeger was 3-for-4 with a triple, 3 runs scored and 2 RBI and Brooke Bandy (7-3) struck out four in a three-hitter for the Dukes (13-9, 7-1 West Suburban Silver), who won their sixth straight and host Silver leader Downers Grove North on Monday. Angela Scalzitti was 2-for-4 with 2 runs scored and a stolen base and Sarah Milkowski 2-for-3 with a triple, run scored and RBI.
