Schaumburg rallies for victory

With the game tied at 2-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning, Schaumburg erupted for 7 runs and went on to claim a 9-2 victory over visiting Dundee-Crown on Monday in nonconference play.

Brad Schwind picked up the victory for Schaumburg as Dundee-Crown had just 4 hits while committing 6 errors.

Dylan Kissack doubled twice for the Chargers.

Fremd 4, Crystal Lake Central 1: The host Vikings played error-free ball to make a winner of senior Eric Gile in nonconference play.

Lincoln-Way North 11, Barrington 1 (6): Visiting Lincoln-Way North finished with 11 hits in a nonconference win over the host Broncos.

Glenbrook North 12, Prospect 2 (5 inn.): Tommy Flahaven doubled and tripled, but Glenbrook North produced 8 runs in the third inning to claim a nonconference victory over the visiting Knights.

• In other games Monday, Naperville Central topped Hoffman Estates 8-0, Addison Trail edged Maine West 6-5 and Jacobs defeated Palatine 10-4.
