Nine Petitioners Vying for Two Spots on District 502 Board of Trustees

Nine candidates have filed petitions for two open spots on the District 502 College of DuPage Board of Trustees.

Ballot position for the election is determined by the date and time of filing. A ballot position lottery was held on Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the College of DuPage Police Dispatch Office to determine the ballot order for four of the petitioners who filed simultaneously on Dec. 17.

The list of candidates (in ballot position order as of Jan. 2, 2013) includes: David “Dave” Carlin,

Naperville; Katharine “Kathy” Hamilton, Hinsdale; Edward R. Agustin, Naperville; Joseph C. Wozniak, Naperville; Frank Flores, Jr., Glendale Heights; Dan Bailey, Wheaton; Mike Lanners, Lombard; Judith Pokorny, Downers Grove; and Amanda Ward, Elmhurst.

There are two six-year positions open in the April 9, 2013, Consolidated Election for the College of DuPage Board of Trustees. The elected trustees will serve terms that begin at the date of their swearing in at the organizational meeting held in April or May 2013 through April 2019.
