Good Lovelies Performs at Club MAC Dec. 8

The Good Lovelies lend their three-part harmonies and the spirit of the season to a holiday show at Fermilab Arts and Lecture Series at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, through a partnership with the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage.

The Dec. 8 concert will be held in the Ramsey Auditorium in Wilson Hall at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia.

Throughout the 2012-2013 season, the McAninch Arts Center is teaming with Fermilab and a number of area venues while the 25-year-old MAC undergoes a $35 million renovation project.

The trio, known for fast-paced instrument swapping and witty on-stage banter, emerged onto the folk music scene in 2006. The Good Lovelies have taken their lighthearted songs to venues in Australia, the United Kingdom and across the U.S. They’ve released three full-length albums and in 2009 won New Emerging Artist at the Canadian Folk Music Awards.

Tickets to the Good Lovelies Dec. 8 performance are $23 for adults, $21 for seniors and $13 for College of DuPage students and youth.
