Barrington keeps pace by topping Schaumburg

Barrington 1, Schaumburg 0: A second-half goal from forward Danny Jaderholm helped visiting Barrington stay in second place in the MSL standings and set up a showdown with league leader Palatine next week. Broncos goalkeeper Pat Deroche made 3 saves in earning the shutout.

Buffalo Grove 1, Prospect 0: The host Bison improved to 6-2 in league play as a goal by Rafa Drakos (assisted by Demo Drakoulis) was the difference.

Wheeling 4, Rolling Meadows 1: The Wildcats scored three times in the first half and held on for an MSL win at Rolling Meadows.

Jose Garcia scored twice in the first half and once more in the second half, Luis Herrera had a first-half goal and Javier Ocampo made 7 saves for Wheeling.

Fremd 2, Hersey 0: Brock VonHolt and Zach Schoffstall scored second-half goals for visiting Fremd (5-3 in the MSL) while Vikings keeper Steven Soltykiewicz made 2 saves for the shutout.

Senior Irving Velasquez saved 2 shots for Hersey, which is also 5-3 in the league.

Maine West 1, Deerfield 0: Gerardo Espinoza scored the game-winner with 1:15 left on an assist from Miguel Lopez.

Jecsan Torres’ shutout included 3 saves as the visiting Warriors improved to 4-2 in the CSL North.
