Waterleaf Restaurant presents 'Cooking with Jean-Louis – 'Weekend Brunch'

Waterleaf Restaurant in Glen Ellyn continues a series of hands-on cooking classes on Saturday, Aug. 18, at 10 a.m. with recipes that create the perfect Weekend Brunch.

During the session, Waterleaf Executive Chef Jean-Louis Clerc will provide step-by-step instruction for each recipe, including tips to bring out the flavor in each dish and how to individualize the ingredients for selective palates. The class is followed by a group lunch with Chef Jean- Louis, providing students with an opportunity to rediscover the dishes prepared earlier in the class and ask additional questions.

The Weekend Brunch menu includes: White Sangria (cocktail); Three-Melon Soup of Summertime (Hors D ‘Oeuvres); Tomato and Homemade Chorizo Tart (Entrée); Corned Beef Hash in Baked Potatoe Shells with Fresh Butter Sauce (Entrée); Fig Rum Loaf (Dessert); Vanilla Ice Cream and Whipped Cream (Dessert).

Wine pairing is included during lunch for students 21 and over. In addition, all participants will receive a gift of printed recipes and a special Waterleaf apron to take home

The price of the Weekend Brunch cooking class is $85 per person. Reservations are required and places are limited. Please call (630) 942-6881 to book.
