April 24: CLC's Summer Solutions Fair showcases credit and non-credit offerings for all ages

Maximize your family's potential this summer at the College of Lake County, with classes, camps, events and more for ages 6 to adult. Learn about the diverse offerings at a Summer Solutions Fair Wednesday, April 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. on the Student Street and Commons at the Grayslake Campus.

The fair will include information tables on several programs, including summer courses for college credit. Registration is now open for Summer Session, which offers two start dates: May 21 and June 10. Start a degree or certificate program, or take one or more transferable summer classes to speed up your progress. If you normally attend an out-of-town college or university, but are home for the summer, save money by taking a CLC summer course that will transfer back to your four-year school in the fall. CLC's general-education courses cover the same content as a university's. To view course offerings, including those for "summer-only" students, and to learn how to become a CLC student, visit www.clcillinois.edu/summer.

Besides adult learning opportunities, CLC representatives will be available to discuss the hands-on learning of Explore Camps for grades 1-8 and Engage STEM Career Exploration Experiences for grades 9-12. For details on the programs, visit www.clcillinois.edu/summercamps.

Additionally, information will be available on summer jobs at Six Flags Great America, Galileo Summer Camps and more. Visitors also can learn details on CLC's weekly farm market, the Prairie student-managed restaurant and "The Addams Family," a July summer musical production by CLC Theatre.

The fair includes free snacks, giveaways and more.
