Tree of Life's holiday concert to be highlight of Sunday worship

On Sunday, Dec. 23, Tree of Life Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 5603 Bull Valley Road in McHenry, will present its annual Holiday Concert at the 10:45 a.m. worship.

The concert will feature the adult choir, First Notes youth ensemble with their new bell chimes. Guest musicians from around the Chicago area will present a winter cycle by John Rutter for choir and ensemble alongside beloved carols, songs, and themes of the season under the direction of music director Forrest Ransburg.

Child care is available for infants and toddlers and the church building is handicap accessible. A social hour after the concert will feature coffee and cookies.

The concert is free to the public. A freewill collection will be taken to support the ministries of the congregation.

On Monday, Dec. 24, explore "The Mystery of Hope" at 7 p.m. Celebrate Christmas Eve at Tree of Life with stories and hymns from the season with pastor Kevin DeBeck. The service ends with the congregation singing "Silent Night" by candlelight.
