People could sample sweet treats from local eateries including Al's Cafe, Arabica, Blue Box Café, Craft Donuts, Elgin Public House, Herb's Bakery, McAllister's and Pastigel, along with the Elgin Police Department's Copsicle Cart. For the tenth year in a row, PRC collects food donations from local schools and brings it back to its Food Pantry at 201 S. Naperville Road in Wheaton. People's Resource Center's food pantries in DuPage distribute food to 3,000 families a month. As it gets closer to the holidays, PRC gives out over 40,000 pounds of food a month. Born with a congenital heart defect, Everly has been in and out of the hospital since she was born, and her family continues to receive support from the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
