Lovell Federal Health Care Center open for business during extreme cold; however, surgical services and valet service curtailed

The Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, Ill., and its community based outpatient clinics in Evanston, McHenry Ill., and Kenosha, Wis. are open for business during the extreme cold; however, valet service at the main hospital will not be available Wednesday, Jan. 30, and Thursday, Jan. 31.

Additionally, because of HVAC concerns, surgical services are curtailed both days as well, and those patients have been contacted. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The FHCC's USS Red Rover branch clinic that serves Navy recruits is open and fully operational.

The FHCC's other Naval Station Great Lakes/Recruit Training Command branch clinics are open on a limited basis for acute care.

Any veteran patient who feels it is unsafe to travel and wishes to cancel an appointment should call central scheduling at 1-800-393-0865. TRICARE beneficiaries should call 1-800-941-4501.

Military patients, please note: Burkey Mall pharmacy is closed as well. Prescriptions can be filled at the main hospital pharmacy in North Chicago, 3001 Green Bay Road.
