Bats, bees, snakes and more: CLC hosts Earth Week events

Learn about sustainability, bats, bees, snakes, birds, endangered species, environmental issues and more during Earth Week activities at College of Lake County, April 14-22.

A student art work display of selected landscapes will also be held.

Hands-on activities for adults and children are included in the free events, which are presented by CLC instructors and other experts.

Activities are organized by the Biological and Health Sciences division and are free and open to the public.

Unless stated, all programs will be approximately one hourlong and held at the CLC Grayslake campus at 19351 W. Washington St.

The public is invited to participate in the following Earth Week activities. There is no cost to attend.

Week Long Exhibition: Drawing Display for Earth Week will portray landscapes meant to guide the viewers’ attention by creatively portraying a subject that emphasizes nature, our environment, environmental conflicts, and/or human impact on the local landscape. The drawings can be viewed in the cases across from the president’s office, A207.
