Greek stomp show at CLC

College of Lake County in Grayslake will be the site of the annual Greek Stomp Fest starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18. Fraternities and sororities will perform the Greek step show. In all, the show will involve nine frats and sororities in the National Pan Hellenic Council. The participants will display the unique art of stepping by using their bodies, canes and other objects as instruments to produce complex rhythms and sounds. There also is expected to be a mix of chants, footsteps and hand claps in an all-ages show. “We are really excited about bringing this event to Lake County community,” said Fred Fleming, event coordinator and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi. Tickets for this event may be purchased at CLC or by calling (224) 627-5832. Admission is $10 and $5 for children 9 and younger.
