Audubon anniversary:
Lake County Audubon Society and the Lake/Cook Chapter of the Illinois Audubon Society will co-sponsor a dramatization by nationally known performer, author, and educator, Brian “Fox” Ellis at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7 in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the visit to Illinois of the famous naturalist and wildlife artist, John James Audubon. The free program features storytelling with images of Audubon’s art based on direct quotations from the artist’s journals, essays, letters, and three short stories about his time in Illinois. The program will be at the College of Lake County, Building C, Room C005, 19351 W. Washington Street, Grayslake. Seats will be available at 6:30 p.m. RSVP audbirds@aol.com.
