Students received free eye care at Tioga School in Bensenville as part of a week-long philanthropic project happening through Essilor Vision Foundation, Premier Ophthalmic Services, Inc, and United Eye Care Providers. Eighty percent of all learning is done visually, said Jane Kulhanek, executive director of United Eye Care Providers. This is where they are going to have an opportunity to change their life. About 20 percent of the Kindergartners through second-graders getting the eye exams at the school have needed glasses.
