Burglars steal $80,000 in construction materials in Barrington
Burglars stole an estimated $80,000 in construction materials from a garage over the weekend, Barrington police reported.
Burglars stole a door remote and entered a garage at a house for sale on the 400 block of Fox Glove between 12:30 p.m. Dec. 12 and 3:20 p.m. Dec. 13, police said. They stole power tools and furnishings stored for use at another home being built on the 400 block of Fox Glove.
Missing items included compressors, saws, drills, nail guns, pump, generators, plumbing fixtures, screens and handles, interior door handles, iron spindles for a staircase, an audio system, garage heater, cabinet hardware, cabinet door and drawer fronts, and outside lights and fixtures, according to the report.
