Explore possible financial aid options at MCC seminar
Explore how to get money for college for yourself or a family member at “Financial Aid Options and Friends of MCC Foundation Scholarships,” an educational seminar, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, in Room B166-167 at McHenry County College, 8900 Route 14 in Crystal Lake.
Presenters will include Dane Klee, director of financial aid at MCC and Bill Brennan, executive director of the Friends of MCC Foundation at McHenry County College. This event is part of a monthly series of seminars called “MCC Educational Seminar Series: Helping You Build a Successful Future.”
This seminar is ideal if you are parents, grandparents or family members of soon-to-be college students, high school or college students, and high school administrators or counselors seeking resources to help students.
The Friends of McHenry County College Foundation is a nonprofit organization that works in partnership with McHenry County College. Foundation board members are committed to assisting students achieve their goals through a scholarship program funded by the generosity of local donors and fundraising.
The following are seminar topics scheduled through January: “Discovering your Insurance Options After 65” in November; “Market Update and Outlook for 2013” in December; and “Tax Update” in January.
