Lake County Community Foundation Welcomes Six New Board Members
WAUKEGAN, IL - The Lake County Community Foundation (LCCF) is pleased to announce the addition of six new business and community leaders recently elected to its Board of Directors. The organization officially welcomed them at the September 20, 2018 Board Meeting, where long-time members Horacio Lopez and Shaunese Teamer were honored for their 9 years of service. Dr. Helene Gayle, CEO of The Chicago Community Trust joined the Lake County philanthropy leaders by teleconference to discuss plans for greater regional alignment and social impact across Lake County.
"LCCF is fortunate to have the service of this group of new leaders representing Libertyville, Deerfield, Lake Forest and western Lake County to help build charitable assets for the long-term benefit of our growing, changing region," said Martha Hinchman, Board Chair.

Jeanne Ang is the Director of Community Health, North Region, for Advocate Health Care, where her work encompasses the counties of Lake, McHenry and DuPage. Jeanne maintains strong relationships with community stakeholders, local health and social service providers, businesses and government officials in order to implement local and regional community health initiatives.
Dr. Laura Brown Hoult is a practicing veterinarian and is principal of Green Tree Animal Hospital in Libertyville, which she founded in 1996. After serving for a year on the LCCF Grants Committee, Dr. Brown joins the Board and brings a strong regional network and experience within the animal welfare sector. Since 2010 LCCF has held, grown and stewarded the Lake County Humane Society Fund which provides grants to qualified Lake County-based organizations whose missions promote animal welfare.
Lisa Sarris Cowhey is the Chief Operating Officer at Rosalind Franklin University Health Clinics in North Chicago where she oversees the health clinic aspects of RFUHC's community outreach and external relations. Prior to transitioning into the academic sector, Lisa spent nearly 20 years with Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. Lisa is a CPA and holds an MBA in Healthcare from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
Shana Hayes is currently the Managing Director for AUSL in Chicago, The Academy for Urban School Leadership, where she has worked since 2011. Shana brings extensive external relations, marketing and development experience to LCCF as it works to grow visibility and assets across the local market in Lake County. Shana holds a BS degree in Molecular Biology from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Scott Humphrey has been a member of the LCCF Grants and Community Investment Committee since 2016, and recently retired as President and CEO of One Hope United, a multi-state provider of social services dedicated to helping families and communities live a life without limits. Prior to One Hope United, Scott had a long business career in Investment Banking and Finance with BMO Harris Investment Banking. Scott holds a BS in Economic and Finance from The University of Arizona.
John Sonnier is a Partner and Managing Director, Biotech and Pharma Investment Banking with William Blair & Company, LLC, where he has been since 2002. John has a strong interest and experience in public health, having spent his entire career in the pharma and bio-pharma industries, and holds a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, and BS in Business Administration from University of Southern Mississippi.
