Meet 'The Mighty Ted' in Summer Place's musical comedy Aug. 20-22
When a pianist, comedian, and musical theater buff suffers a stroke, he isn't the least surprised when wise-cracking doctors and singing physical therapists dance onto the scene.
The Summer Place, Naperville's community theatre, is proud to present “The Mighty Ted,” a heartwarming musical comedy written by longtime Summer Place board member Ted Waltmire.
In addition to traditional therapy, stints at Second City helped Ted move forward on his health journey. In combining his comedy studies with his musical background, he created “The Mighty Ted” to put a lighter spin on stroke recovery.
“The Mighty Ted” will be presented on Friday to Sunday, Aug. 20-22, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Wagner Pavilion in the 95th St Community Plaza, 3109 Cedar Glade Drive in Naperville.
Tickets are available now online at summerplacetheatre.tix.com.
Tickets are $20 for seniors over age 65 or $15 for youth under age 20. Group ticket sales are also available by calling (630) 355-7969.
