Elk Grove Baptist Church Men's Ministry to host fishing derby

The Elk Grove Baptist Church Men's Ministry will be hosting "Men's & Kid's Fishing Derby" on Saturday, June 2, at 8 a.m. at Turner Pond in Roselle.

This event is open to the public; anyone is welcome to be part of the fun. The derby is free of charge to participants.

Kids ages 4-12 are invited to participate in the derby. Children ages 13 thru adults are needed to assist the children at the derby. Children will be awarded medals in five categories.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own gear; however the church has equipment to borrow and ministry leaders to instruct.

Turner Pond is located on Roselle Road, one mile south of Elgin-O'Hare Expressway.
