Maternity Counseling Agency - Free Services For Women
Effective immediately, St. Mary's Services' maternity program, Hopeful Beginnings, will be providing several pregnancy-related services, all at no charge. Whether a woman just found out she is pregnant, is suffering a loss, is experiencing post-partum depression, or is having trouble transitioning into motherhood, Hopeful Beginnings can help. As a social service agency aiding women and children for the past 130 years, St. Mary's Services strives to improve the lives of each and every one of their clients. One way the agency achieves this goal is through counseling services. St. Mary's Services / Hopeful Beginnings hopes to enrich the community through these new, free services.
These free, pregnancy-related services will include counseling for (but not limited to):
• Pre-Natal Depression
• Post-Partum Depression
• Grief Counseling
o Loss of Pregnancy
o Post-Abortion
o Post-Adoption
• Options Counseling
• Difficulty Transitioning into Motherhood
Hopeful Beginnings will also provide initial pregnancy tests, and referrals to community services related to pregnancy and parenting. Most counseling and other services will be held at the agency's main Arlington Heights location, with limited hours at a subsidiary Palatine location.
