DuPage Veterans Foundation to host ninth annual Honor Flight Chicago fundraiser

After a three-year hiatus, the DuPage Veterans Foundation is hosting its ninth annual fundraiser benefiting Honor Flight Chicago from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 6.

The foundation is honoring all veterans and their families and will be specifically recognizing Vietnam era veterans with a commemorative pinning ceremony.

The ninth annual fundraiser takes place at a new location this year, the DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 Manchester Road in Wheaton.

The festivities, which begins at 11 a.m., include a buffet lunch, live music, silent auction, 50/50 raffle, period military vehicles, military uniforms, and more.

Since their first event in 2012, the DuPage Veterans Foundation has donated more than $250,000 to Honor Flight Chicago, making this fundraiser the second largest benefit for Honor Flight Chicago.

Tickets are available in advance online or in person at the door.

Tickets in advance are $35 and $45 at the door. Children are $20 in advance or day of event. Admission is free for World War II and Korean War veterans, as well as children, age 5 or under. Parking is free.
