Take a swing for charity at Links Technology Cup

Enjoy a day on the fairway and compete for the Links Technology Cup at the Schaumburg Park Foundation's 12th annual charity golf outing.

The golf outing will take place on Aug. 14 at Schaumburg Golf Club, 401 N. Roselle Road.

Event check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 10 a.m. will commence the tournament, played in a scramble format.

Golfers will play 18 holes of golf with cart and may partake in different contests featured on almost every hole. Every other hole will feature "Taste on the Tee," where golfers may sample food and beverages from a variety of local restaurants.

"Schaumburg Golf Course offers breathtaking scenery and is one of the most well-known courses in the northwest suburbs," said Justin Sienkiewicz, executive vice president of the Schaumburg Park Foundation. "The fun continues off the course, as players are invited to a steak dinner at Chandler's where the winning foursome will be revealed."

Proceeds benefit recreation scholarships and other projects of the Schaumburg Park Foundation. Recent Foundation projects have included supporting Bison's Bluff Nature Playground, the Meineke Park Challenge Course and most recently, the soon-to-be addition of a pollinator garden at Spring Valley Nature Center.

Cost is $165 per golfer. To register, visit schaumburgparkfounation.org or call 847-985-2115. Payment must be received at the time of registration.
