Piano Encounters III: A Celebration of Women Composers on June 1

The American Liszt Society Chicago/Midwest Chapter will present the third installment of its extremely popular "Piano Encounters" series, "Piano Encounters III: A Celebration of Women Composers". The free concert is at 7:30 pm on Saturday, June 1, at Wheaton College's Armerding Center for Music & the Arts, 520 Kenilworth Ave., Wheaton, IL 60187.

Pianists Jennifer Allor, Alexander Djordjevic, Karin Redekopp Edwards, Mark Edwards, Daniel Paul Horn, George Radosavljevic, Leo Radosavljevic, Aaron Stampfl, and Alex Yuill will perform.

Women composers featured will include Cécile Chaminade, Clara Wieck Schumann, Hilary Tann, Sophie-Carmen Eckhardt-Gramatté, Kaija Saariaho, Caroline Shaw, Dora Pejacevic, Iris de Cairos-Rego, and Carol Ann Weaver. Those new to the classical music scene, piano students, and regular concert-goers alike will enjoy this beautiful evening of great piano music. Free admission and parking.
